The EduCare Fastrack II Remedial Reading and Math:
Elementary and Secondary Education Act Option

The EduCare Fastrack II program has served as a proven contracted alternative for individualized remedial reading and math instruction in Iowa schools since 1996. The program is based on EduCare’s diagnostic-prescriptive mastery learning model and features a highly successful approach to direct instruction. The Fastrack II program may serve as one option for students who qualify under the “Supplemental Services” provision of
the reauthorized Elementary and Secondary Education Act. Families who participate in EduCare programs under the new federal guidelines, do so with the understanding that EduCare actively encourages a “partnership” relationship between the school and the company whenever supplemental services are provided for students.

The Challenger Program: Alternative school Education

The EduCare Alternative School Education program features a comprehensive, standards-driven model designed around the unique academic needs and behavioral challenges of at-risk students. The program is highly individualized in regard to academic coursework and includes a required life-skills component for each student enrolled. The Challenger Program’s unique design supports high expectations
for academic achievement as well as a highly effective behavior management system. Students enrolled from grades K-8 receive individualized grade level instruction parallel with district standards and benchmarks. High school students complete required coursework for credit consistent with the district’s requirements for a diploma of graduation.

Student Success Study Skills Program

The Student Success Study Skills Program is one of EduCare’s most popular and often requested contracted services. The program is delivered as an eight-hour, interactive seminar targeting a range of topics including homework completion, time management, active-listening skills, test-taking strategies and note-taking techniques. The 2001
seminar update features a new unit entitled “Getting Along With Teachers.” The seminar is highly motivational and includes an optional companion teacher in-service component. The service provides all student materials including the time-tested EduCare Honor Roll Organizer management tool. Summer and school year scheduling options are available.
The Discovery Program: Special Education: Behavior Disorders

EduCare’s Special Education: Behavior Disordered Program is the newest and most comprehensive of the company’s contracted services. The K-12 program features a complete “school within a school” design and includes both instructional and non-instructional staff, administrative personnel, related Title One services, and EduCare’s proprietary comprehensive curriculum and student management programs. Every aspect of the Special Education:
Behavior Disordered Program is individualized, researched-based, and consistent with Iowa Department of Education and 1997 IDEA guidelines and requirements. Computer-based IEP management is included in the service.

The Endeavour Program: Shelter School Education

EduCare's Sheltered Youth Educational Services program is one of the company's premier contracted services. The program's unique K-12 design enables students in short-term shelter care facilities to maintain their routine school educational program with a minimum of lost instructional time.
Programs can be coordinated with sending or receiving districts to sequence local school curricula. Individualized programs can also be designed independent of local school curricula and feature a comprehensive, basic skill oriented approach. The EduCare Sheltered Youth Educational Services program is grounded on a "best practices" approach and features a model consistent with Area Educational Agency, state, and federal requirements. IEP maintenance and updates are included in the program for students whose duration for stay and educational program necessitate special educations services.
