EduCare Learning Centers Inc. is Iowa’s
leading provider of comprehensive, on-site, contracted educational
services. Since the fall of 1996 EduCare has established a
solid reputation for exceptional instructional programs in a number
of curricular

areas. All EduCare contracted programs are
researched-based, standards-driven, and proven effective in a wide range
of actual school and institutional applications. As an accredited member
of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, EduCare
prides itself in offering instructional programs that meet or exceed
expectations of the Iowa Department of Education. Prospective clients are encouraged to contact EduCare for a referral list of school
administrators who have first-hand experience regarding the effectiveness
and quality of EduCare Learning Centers, Inc. contracted programs. |
The EduCare Fastrack II Remedial
Reading and Math:
Elementary and Secondary Education Act
Option

The EduCare Fastrack II program has served as a
proven contracted alternative for individualized remedial reading and math
instruction in Iowa schools since 1996. The program is based on EduCare’s
diagnostic-prescriptive mastery learning model and features a highly
successful approach to direct instruction. The Fastrack II program may
serve as one option for students who qualify under the “Supplemental
Services” provision of |

|
the reauthorized Elementary and Secondary Education
Act. Families who participate in EduCare programs under the new federal
guidelines, do so with the understanding that EduCare actively encourages
a “partnership” relationship between the school and the company whenever
supplemental services are provided for students. |
The Challenger Program: Alternative
school Education
|
|
The EduCare Alternative School Education program
features a comprehensive, standards-driven model designed around the
unique academic needs and behavioral challenges of at-risk students. The
program is highly individualized in regard to academic coursework and
includes a required life-skills component for each student enrolled. The
Challenger Program’s unique design supports
high expectations
|
|
|
for academic
achievement as well as a highly effective behavior management system.
Students enrolled from grades K-8 receive individualized grade level
instruction parallel with district standards and benchmarks. High school
students complete required coursework for credit consistent with the
district’s requirements for a diploma of graduation.

Student Success Study Skills Program
|
|
The Student Success Study Skills Program is one
of EduCare’s most popular and often requested contracted
services. The program is delivered as an eight-hour, interactive seminar
targeting a range of topics including homework completion, time
management, active-listening skills, test-taking strategies and
note-taking techniques. The 2001 |
|
|
seminar update features a new unit
entitled “Getting Along With Teachers.” The seminar is highly
motivational and includes an optional companion teacher in-service
component. The service provides all student materials including the time-tested EduCare Honor Roll Organizer management tool. Summer and
school year scheduling options are available. |
The Discovery Program:
Special Education: Behavior Disorders

EduCare’s Special Education: Behavior
Disordered Program is the newest and most comprehensive of the company’s
contracted services. The K-12 program features a complete “school
within a school” design and includes both instructional and
non-instructional staff, administrative personnel, related Title One services, and EduCare’s proprietary comprehensive curriculum and

Behavior Disordered Program is individualized, researched-based, and
consistent with Iowa Department of Education and 1997 IDEA guidelines and
requirements. Computer-based IEP management is included in the service. |
The Endeavour Program:
Shelter School Education
|
|
EduCare's Sheltered Youth Educational
Services program is one of the company's premier contracted services. The
program's unique K-12 design enables students in short-term shelter care
facilities to maintain their routine school educational program with a
minimum of lost instructional time. |
|
Programs can be coordinated with sending or
receiving districts to sequence local school curricula. Individualized
programs can also be designed independent of local school curricula and
feature a comprehensive, basic skill oriented approach. The EduCare
Sheltered Youth Educational Services program is grounded on a "best
practices" approach and features a model consistent with Area
Educational Agency, state, and federal requirements. IEP maintenance and
updates are included in the program for students whose duration for stay
and educational program necessitate special educations services.

Program Fees
Program fees for any of EduCare Learning
Centers, Inc. contracted services are based on program specifications and
tailored to individual school or institution needs. School officials are
